How We Became a Team
Team Packaging Company was founded in 2004 by three long-time friends and co-workers who came together to form a "Team", each bringing a unique and varied set of talents from the packaging industry. We concentrated on products that require durable outer containers and custom inner protection. With a focus on wood crating, foam fabrication, and corrugated paper products, Team Packaging Company has one mission:
"Create Packaging Solutions to Satisfy Our Customers’ Needs"
In quantities as small as one or as large as you need, Team supplies a diverse product line of custom packaging to a variety of industries including aerospace, electro-mechanical, industrial and medical. Innovative designs, a strong work ethic, and small business enthusiasm have propelled Team Packaging Company in both reputation and growth. Strong relationships with our business partners, our customers, and suppliers alike, are key to the success of Team Packaging Company.
Tom Sandstrom - President
Background - Tom's career includes over 30 years of packaging industry experience including Production Supervisor, Design Manager and Direct Sales in corrugated and specialty packaging.
Responsibilities - As CEO, Tom is an excellent leader and team builder as well as a key force in the sales arena. Through extensive experience in the niche market of specialty packaging, Tom focuses his "designer's eye" on creative ways to help customers reduce shipping damage and cut costs. Growing up in the box industry, Tom's expertise with corrugated and various other materials helps facilitate Team's mission.
John Nelson - Vice President: Operations
Background - John's product design and operations management experience span over 30 years within the specialty protective packaging niche. John has been a Production Supervisor, a Designer and an Operations Manager for most of his packaging-industry career.
Responsibilities - As Operations VP, John focuses the depth of his management experience towards all aspects of production, finished goods operations, and supply chain management. John's natural creativity combined with his deep understanding of packaging materials and design brings a unique perspective to Team.
Carol Dixon - Vice President: Administration
Background - Carol's commitment to customer satisfaction includes 20 plus years of specialty protective packaging experience centered on Direct Sales, Customer Service, and Office Administration.
Responsibilities - As Administrative VP, Carol is responsible for office management along with sales and customer service. Carol's friendly, helpful nature has been instrumental in building our loyal customer base as well as our strong vendor rapport. Her extensive experience in customer service established the cohesive link to Team's customers through reinforcement of our company brand. In her words, "We are genuinely trying to build something great for our customers, it's what differentiates us from our competition".
